Course description
Designed especially for the home wine maker. All aspects of home wine making will be covered, from pressing fruit to bottling wine. Participants will actually make wine that will ultimately be bottled and distributed to members of the class. The course is designed to teach the art of wine making at the entry level and to give the student a broad overview of the wine making process and prepare the student to produce quality wine at a reasonable price.
Classes will be taught at the winery by Butch Meyer, holder of over 900 awards for wine making, and Mike Hatzell, owner of Brooks Hill Winery. Classes will conclude with a wine tasting. All students will receive a wine making manual and a brix hydrometer.
